Lead Dentist — Ownership Opportunity

Redwood Dental is a privately owned, fully digital practice in Boulder Creek, CA, in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Our owner doctor is expanding to a second location, and we are hiring a Lead Dentist to take over the main doctor schedule and lead the clinical team.

This is a lead role with an established patient base, full schedule, and defined path to ownership.

A Real Path to Ownership

• Eligible for buy-in after 12 months
• Buy-in structure reviewed with you in writing before you sign
• Opportunity to become a partner or lead a location as we expand

The Opportunity

You will step into an established practice rather than build a patient base from scratch.

• Take over an established, full schedule
• Diagnose, treatment plan, and lead the clinical day
• Lead the clinical team
• All endodontic cases in the practice are yours, if you want them
• Owner doctor is available for case support and guidance
• Work in a private practice with no corporate ownership and no production quotas

Compensation & Schedule

• 30% of adjusted production (production minus insurance write-offs and discounts)
• $750 daily minimum
• Pay is based on production, not collections
• No lab fees deducted from your pay
• Health insurance and 401(k)
• 3–4 days per week

The Team

You’ll be supported by an experienced team, including:

• Experienced front desk team
• Trained dental assistants
• Two hygienists
• Owner doctor available for case support and guidance

Digital Dentistry & Technology

We are a fully digital practice with:

• Overjet AI for imaging analysis and AI note taking
• CBCT for implant and root canal planning
• Shining 3D intraoral scanners
• Intraoral cameras
• exocad design software
• In-house 3D printing with SprintRay Pro 2 and SprintRay Midas

In-House Digital Lab

Our digital lab includes:

• SprintRay Pro 2: night guards, partials, surgical guides, smile trials
• SprintRay Midas: inlays, onlays, and crowns
• exocad digital design workflows

Prior experience with digital lab workflows is a plus, but not required. We will get you up to speed.

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years of clinical experience
• Comfortable working independently and leading a team
• Exceptional people skills
• Ownership mindset
• Comfortable with digital dentistry or willing to learn
• Endodontic experience is a strong plus, especially molar RCT
